On April 05th, 2015 our family  travelled to St Lucia. We took a plane there and arrived around 6pm. We stayed at the beautiful resort St James Club Morgans Bay. It was beautiful and the people were incredibly friendly and so welcoming. The weather was incredibly beautiful and rainy at the same time. I met some of the local people at the market in Castries, they were all so sweet and talented, I had to buy a few things;).

We took a boat tour to do a mud bath in the sulphur springs it was a very muddy and relaxing experience! We got to see a garden with the most beautiful plants and flowers and had a delicious meal. We also got to do some snorkelling and see tons of different fish, I was so close to getting stung by a jellyfish at least 5 times…

We also took a trip to Pigeon island where we got to see some of the buildings and structures from the war and they were  incredibly cool. We did some snorkelling and I got to see some adorable island dogs and cats, I was ready to take them home but sadly couldn’t. We also did another tour which was horseback riding which I absolutely love, of course my mom has never rode a horse before and was terrified but I laughed oops haha! We rode along a trail and along the beach and got poured on, but overall it was such a fun experience.

Sorry this is so late but here it is the blog about my vacation!

On April 4th I headed off to the beautiful Island of St Lucia, Which included a 5 hour plane flight in first class. When we arrived to the very small airport we got off the plane, got our luggage and headed off with our driver to our hotel James Bay. The car ride was 2 hours and I nearly puked from car sickness (There is not a single straight road). When we arrived to our hotel we checked into our beautiful hotel room and then toured the place. The people were incredibly friendly and welcoming!

Our trip basically included meeting the locals who were so sweet and kind at the Castries local market,we also took a boat tour to Sulphur springs where we went into a beautiful garden, and then we were taken to a Sulphur mud bath. The mud bath was basically a huge jacuzzi then you get our cover yourself in mud from head to toe for 5 minutes until it  dries, then you jump back into the mud jacuzzi. The Jacuzzi is natural heat from the volcanoes. The mud bath is very healthy for your skin. After that we headed to do some snorkelling and as much as I love fish I was terrified to get in the water since I already was close to getting stung by 7 Jellyfish the day before. Yes I finally did get in the water and got to see all the different beautiful fish and coral. We also took a trip to Pigeon island which is an island where the french fought, we got to see many of the buildings from the war, and we also climbed a huge mountain to a look out view and boy was I afraid. We also did some swimming alone the beach where I met the cutest local dog. I met a lot of cats and dogs who didn’t have homes and I was ready to take them all home! I actually brought one of the stray cats into our hotel room and played with him I really didn’t want to let him go. We named him James, after St James.

Back at the hotel we watched an amazing performance of different dances that were known in St Lucia it was incredibly entertaining and overall so amazing to watch. We had such an amazing stay but we had to leave. We packed up all of our things and headed to the Helicopter pad. Yes my dad decided to pay for a helicopter for a 15 minute ride to the airport and yes I was terrified, It was my first time ever being in a helicopter but it was worth it. We got to the airport got on a 6 hour plane ride home. And so that was how my trip went.

St Lucia was for sure a one in a life time experience I will for sure go back.

Sorry everyone that my blogs have been so delayed I am dealing with a lot of health issues right now and keep in mind I am trying my best to keep everyone updated so thank you all for your patience:)

On April 26th I attended the beautiful Miss Michelle McKay’s confidence building workshop. All the funds that are raised go to operation smile. Operation smile is a cause where they provide free surgeries to repair cleft lip, cleft palate and other facial deformities for children around the globe. The workshop included and introduction from Michelle and introduced me to everyone. We were taught how to runway walk, and also had our hair, makeup and nails all done. My hair was done by Ruckles hair salon and I have honestly never felt more confident with my hair, I felt truly beautiful.  We also had a Photo Shoot where 3 photos will be edited and sent to us by photographer  Jeff McCoy.

It was overall such an amazing experience to attend and I honestly had a blast! Would definitely recommend this workshop to other kids, and I will for sure be attending the work shop next year:)

I wasn’t allowed to leave the bed in the hospital for many weeks so they had to teach me how to walk again. I am a very thankful girl today.

My legal birthday is coming up!

I am so excited to turn 18, but there are also a lot of responsibilities that come with it. For example, dealing with insurance, service companies, personal finances, etc. And it is just coincidence that I am now also moving out to live at school dorms.  I don’t usually do much celebration for my birthday because my birthday is always the week before school exams and exam preparation always gets so crazy I could not care less about my birthday. It is the week everyone gets stressed out and cram study…including me. But this year I am making an exception. I am going to plan a birthday party…one week early!

The party will be a birthday and goodbye party, since I am also leaving my current school for the Ontario Science Centre Science School. I usually talk to my friends at school in the midst of travelling between classes or extracurriculars at lunch, so it will nice to finally get everyone together and chat. I will keep you guys updated with pictures later! As well as updates about Miss Teen Ontario-Wordl 2012!

Happy holidays everyone!

The winter break is approaching and it is time to wrap up all the shopping errands! What I like most about this time of the year is the generosity from the community. For the Salvation Army food drive, my school contributed more than 6000 food items! Good job NCIVS!

To wrap up the last week before winter holidays, my school will be having a holiday themed talent show. I am currently busy with rehearsals everyday. My first act is a solo dance piece to a variation of Sugar Plum Fairy from the Nutracker Ballet. My second act is with the dance team, where I will be dressed up as Santa Claus and dancing hip hop! I am so excited and I can’t wait to show you pictures and videos after!

As the weather is getting colder and snow is beginning to fall, please be careful on the roads when driving. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday!

It’s that time of the year again – university applications! Everyone’s busy and stressed out around December, as applications are due early January. Choices, choices, choices!

It is a challenge to decide on a university and major because you have to plan out your life at age 17. At 17 years of age, you have to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life. After much thought, I have finally decided that I want to major in international relations for a career that could give me opportunity to travel. My background of studying 4 languages can be handy, and I have great communication skills. I will be very busy this month. On top of university applications, there are also a lot of major projects and tests coming up at school, as the winter break is getting closer. Next weekend, I also have my ACT exam.

I saved the best update for last…it’s holiday shopping season!
